These Franke Rollamats are soo good. Stainless steel they roll over the top of your sink so you can drain or put hot pots etc on them- they don’t even need to be over the sink- they are also a bonus with some sinks. I can really recommend them as a great accessory for your kitchen.
Great refreshing salad receipe from Liebherr
¼ red cabbage 4 mint stems
Salt 2 handfuls of flat leaf parsley
Slivered almonds ¼ tspn chilli flakes
2 oranges 4 tbspn olive oil
½ pomegranate ground black pepper
1 small sesame flatbread
Remove outer cabbage leaves, cut out heart and slice or shred into thin strips. Add ½ teaspoon of salt and massage it well by hand. Toss the almonds in a pan with no fat and leave to cool.
Cut the oranges straight across top and bottom and peel and remove pith, squeeze leftover peel over cabbage. Quarter the oranges and cut qtrs. into slices, collecting all the juice and add it to the salad. Finely chop herbs.
Mix almonds, herbs, chilli and olive oil with red cabbage. Stir in oranges, season with salt and pepper. Tap the pomegranate seeds out of the shell onto the salad.
Serve with crisp sesame flatbread cut into triangles.
1kg chicken legs
1 large onion chopped
1 clove garlic crushed
1 tsp olive oil
4 whole cloves
1 tbs tomato paste
1 cup water
1 tin diced tomato with basil & garlic (Ardmona brand)
1 tbs of fresh basil leaves chopped rough
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp cornflour & ½ cup water (for thickening at end)
500g spaghetti pasta
For garnish: a little more basil and some fresh grated parmesan cheese
In a large saucepan, heat 1olive oil and fry onion and garlic, cook until soft
Season chicken with salt and pepper, add to pan with onions and brown the chicken
Add tomatoes, fresh basil, cloves, tomato paste and 1 cup water to pan and gently mix to combine
Bring back to boil then lower heat to simmer for approx 1 hour
Shortly before chicken is ready to serve, put pasta on to cook
Just before serving, thicken with the corn flour and water mixture
Serve the chicken over the fresh cooked spaghetti
Garnish with a little more fresh basil and some grated parmesan cheese
